What are human skills and why do they matter?

Human skills are the qualities that make people effective collaborators, communicators and thinkers — including emotional intelligence, adaptability, critical thinking, resilience and teamwork. In an increasingly automated world, these are the skills AI cannot replicate, and they are consistently cited by employers as the most important attributes they seek.
